About My Practice

Establishing an empathic and trusting relationship with the individual, couple, or family is my initial focus. Because both the client or clients and I will know within a brief period of time whether we can work together, I offer the initial appointment at no cost; you will be charged only if you choose to continue.
I have 35 years of experience in working with hard to reach adolescents, many of whom were receiving Special Education services. In these cases, I work closely with school personnel. I am familiar with the unique source of stress facing children of divorce and their parents.
I have developed a Transitional Coaching service for college bound Juniors to build in success as they move from high school to college. It is a time fraught with change leaving family and friends.

I have a particular interest in the role our popular culture and music in particular play in our lives. Consequently, I often draw upon musical and cultural references in my work. I find this to be especially useful in relating to adolescents and young adults.
